I hope this trip would be great and also we do not want to give punishments before the outing. So please behave yourselves, mind your language, attitude and bring whatever you have to bring. Also, please do not be late. May the best group win the prize!

Before i end, i would like to say that we punish because of a reason. We don't punish for fun. If we say we would give the punishment, we are dead serious. So don't play around. As for last week, 20 pumpings and 10 rounds around the court. Maybe 10 rounds around the court is tough but 20 pumpings is nothing. If you think your hands are about to break, that means you need more practice. With that, stop with the 20 pumpings issue already. Thank you very much. Just try to behave, do well and we may give lesser punishments.

So, chillax for a while now and we'll see you on Friday! ((:

Snap! Deadline's over for your nominal roles. Thank you Doreen, Chen Lin and Yu Hui for sending in your nominal roles on time! Those of you who have not submitted your nominal roles, you are suppose to do something. I've already stated earlier. Here are the details.

1)Write a 150-word reflection on why you have not submitted your nominal roles.
- Your reflection can be handwritten on fullscap paper.
- Handwriting must be neat if you want to do so. No correction tape or fluid. Only
cancellations are allowed. Cancellations = one line drawn across the word that
you want to correct
- If you think your handwriting would not be neat, type it out
- Paper should NOT be folded up into smaller bits. Not even folded into half.
- Name, class and date should be written/ typed at the start of your reflection
- word count in brackets at the end of your reflection

That's the standard for the reflections to come. They are rules you have to follow. Don't follow the rules, your reflection is going to be torn apart. Next thing you have to submit.

2) Your nominal roles. Obviously. Use the detail given in the previous, previous post.

Here are the names of those who have not updated your nominal roles just in case you don't know who you are. Sorry if there's any mistaken names.
1) Chea Hang
2) Bao Yan
3) Ray
4) Lenox
5) Pan Fei
6) Pan Zi

Submit your nominal roles by Friday, 10pm to the email address &
your reflections by Friday 23rd May before reporting time.

Please go to http://rcyndp09.blogspot.com to see the uniform guidelines!

Saturday, May 9, 2009

Okay. So most of the sec 1s have gotten your uniforms and boots. Today, we'll show you basic things on how to put on your 1 badge and how to iron your uniform. For the guys, we'll show how to put on your uniform on the first day of our June Holiday training. We'll inform you again when it would be on.

So what we have here is the front of the uniform. Duh? Okay. Your Total Defence badge should be aligned with the first button and also in the middle of the vertical line. I hope you guys understand but if you don't no worries, we'll show you 'live' during one of the trainings again. Okay?

Next we have the back part. You will have to fold along the 2 lines found in the middle of the uniform and then iron it down. So it would look like the picture above.

Okay, basically, it's like that. Next thing, some of you may have received your buttons. How do you put them on? You can use either safety pins or keychain rings. We'll show you that again. It's pretty hard to explain guidelines of the uniform through words, it has to have some visual aid so we'll explain everything over again once all of you have received your buttons, name tags, beret so on.

Also, this applies to all who did not attend the meeting we had last Tuesday, 5th of May. We need an update of your nominal roles again. You might think it is such a chore to do it over and over again but it's suppose to be a norm.

So to those who were not there to update your nominal roles this includes all sec 1s to sec 3s, please do so.
1) Type it out on Microsoft Word
What to type out?
- Full name
- Class
- IC number
- Race
- Religion
- Medical history
- Drugs allergy
- Dietary restrictions
- T-shirt size
- Your own email address
- Parents' (either mother or father) name
- Parents' contact number
- Home number
- Your own handphone number
- Address
2) Attach file and send to nominalroles@live.com
3) Deadline: 17 May

Those whom nominal roles are not in by 17 May will have to write a reflection. This blog is where you check for your updates and so it is your duty to come check what you are suppose to do.

All the best for the MYEs!
Thankos ;D

I just gave the blog a new fresh look. You are still at prssrcyclub.blogspot.com. Don't get a total shock that it looks different. Also, a new tagboard has been put up so do not type out senseless messages and of course, no spam please.

Adding to that with this new blogskin, I hope and i wish everyone would obediently check the blog regularly for updates. We are aiming to get a Gold for our Excellence Units' award for this year and so we have to work harder. I hope everyone will put in your 100% effort and cooperation into every training and activity because without you, we cannot achieve gold. There would be a more trainings and lessons going on right after the MYEs. Details would be given soon.

World Red Cross day will be on the 8th of May. All cadets who owns a full uniform are obliged to wear it on that day.

MYEs language papers are over last week and now there's a 1 week break from exams. Use the break wisely and study hard! All the best and don't stress out too much!
