Ohana

Hey Mergensers & Ravens!
My dear Mergensers, do you remember the question you guys had to write about for the defination of family?

Well, some of the NCOs had commented on your journal entries and hope you guys take note of it :) Alritey, so one of the comments is : Ohana <3 right? Hmm, have you guys wondered what does that mean? It may sound alien to you guys if you guys have never watch Lilo & Stitch!

Let's see this video and understand what does Ohana mean shall we?

Ohana means family. Family means, nobody gets left behind.Or forgotten, yeah.Hey!Gambadubagagi. HEH.
So, do you think PRSSRCY is a family? If not, let's work on it ok! Let's make PRSSRCY a united family. But, a family where the family members does not respond to the elderlies, isn't that saddening? Imagine if you are a part of that family. Are you gonna be the one to fix it? Or, you are going to let this problem going on forever?

Hey Cadets!

This post comes in regards to the training on the following Monday (18 July 2011) for only FDC cadets, and also Friday (22 July 2011) for ALL cadets.

FDC Training -Monday, 18 July 2011

Hey FDC Cadets,

There will be training on the following Monday,
Reporting Time: 1430h
Dismissal Time: 1730h
Venue: Outside Red Cross Room
Attire: PE or Red Cross based Shirt with shorts or trackpants.

Cadets, this is your third training. Unfortunately, it won't be held in the air conditioned music room because the drills on the training of previous Thursday was not up to standard.
Hopefully, by the next training we can have it in the music room. How? By showing us better drills this coming Monday.
What we want to highlight to you guys to take note of before the next training so that you can make the standard, and it would be again, your timing, your precision, your reaction time, sense of urgency, and your coordination !
"It takes two hands to clap, and squad to march!"
So what we mean is, it takes all of you to work together to perfect the drills. Coordination is the key. As a cadet yourself, you do your best for your personal drills, then together as a squad, you'd get good coordinated drills!
So, we hope to see all of you guys on Monday!

Combined-Unit Activity -Friday, 22 July 2011

Hey Cadets!

How was the last training? Hoped you learnt loads from it!

Anyways, this coming Friday, we would be having a combined unit activity with Broadrick Secondary's RCY unit! We would all be going to 'SHINES Outddor' (located at Upper Boon Keng Road) for the activities, which would be rock-climbing and abseiling!

Details of Training on the coming Friday, 22 July 2011,
Raven D/I: Emlyn
Merganser D/I: Asilah
Reporting Time: 1330h SHARP!
-HCL cadets to come in mufti ASAP
-Muslim Boys will be sent by Mr Ashiq after prayers
Dismissal Time: 1745h
Attire: Mufti
Things to bring:
1) Journals
2) Writing Materials
3) Water Bottle
4) Personal Medication (if any)
5) Small Bag (optional)
-Or you can choose to share bags with your friends and platoon mates, or bring your school bag along.

Since this is a fun combined activity, we expect you guys to come along with your happy spirits and be prepared to make more friends with the other unit! Be more friendly and sociable!
However, though this is a fun combined activity, we still expect you cadets to be disciplined at all times, treat each other with utmost respect and watch out for one another at all times regardless of whichever unit he/she may be from. Of course we need your high level of response on that day too!

Please note that like other trainings, your attendance is also compulsory! Unless there are valid reasons.

*To cadets who were absent from previous normal or FDC trainings, we NEED your Medical Certificate or Parent's letter!
*Please always remember to try to tell us in advance if you are not able to make it for a certain training.

Ok, that's all for this post! Hope you cadets can make it for the training and activities! Hope to see you guys on Monday or Friday or both!
