Cadets, there is training this coming Friday, 27th July 2012.
Here are the details for this Friday's training.
Date: 27 July 2012, Friday
Reporting Time: 1430 hours
Dismissal Time: 1730 hours , 1800 hours (For NDP cadets)
Attire: Mufti (with trackpants)
Things you are required to bring:
1. Water Bottles
2. Personal Medication (if required)
3. Writing materials & Red Cross File / Notebook
4. $1 or $2 for Red Cross Fund (those that haven't paid)
5. Casualty Evacuation Notes
Do take note that all the Falcons (Sec 1s) will be taking your Casualty Evacuation (Bronze) Accreditation test this Friday. IT WILL BE HARDER THAN THE RCK TEST! Trust me on this one.
It will be in 2 parts: Theory / Practical.
Theory is an MCQ, much like the Red Cross Knowledge test you guys took earlier. (Please revise)
Practical, on the other hand...requires you to actually perform your evacuation skills on a casualty like last week. No pressure, but this is what you have to expect...
The notes can be found on http://www.redcross.org.sg/articles/red-cross-youth-subject-manuals-cadets/ and then download them by clicking "ev-bsg". Print them out.
You only need the Bronze Notes. (Practical takes up more weight, 70% if I remember correctly, so please try the evac. techniques at home with your younger brother/sister if you have one).
Take note of the following:
- Cut your nails short.
- Wear spectacle hooks (for those wearing spectacles).
- Tuck in your shirt at all times.
- DO NOT drag your footwear.
- Girls to tie bun and wear bun net, clip up fringe and feelers.
- Hair to be neat and presentable.
- Report on time!
For those taking the test, good luck!
Regards,
Koon Han
