Training + Experience day 24/1/14

Date: 24th Jan 2014
Reporting time: 2.30pm
Dismissal Time: 4pm or 4.30pm (TO BE CONFIRMED)

Hi cadets! There is training this friday, it is also experience day! Experience day is a day where the sec ones will come and learn about what we do in red cross. Im sure those that attended the previous training should have a rough idea of what it is by now. The sec 3s will be in charge of the experience day. You can stay back tomorrow to practise your skit.

For training wise, we need you to bring food for hamper making which our CCA will be taking part. All of you are supposed to bring either canned food or biscuits to be put inside the hamper. Do take note of the items to avoid:-
1) Canned beef
2) Cooking oil
3) Sugar
4) Milk powder
5) Sweets and candies
6) Soap and detergent ( WE ONLY WANT FOOD )
Also, do check out the expiry dates of the items and also the Halal logo!

Other than these things, we also want you to bring your standard first aid notes in preparation of the upcoming First Aid competition.

So in conclusion, Items to bring:-
1) Canned food / biscuits for hamper making
2) Standard first aid notes
3) Writing materials
4) 500ml bottle
5) Personal medication (if any)

Also for the sec 3s, the dateline for the vietnam trip application is tomorrow, 23/01/2014. Please do pass your form to Mr Zul or Ms Cindy Soh!



FOR SEC 3S ONLY
There is a SMART programme going on, the details are below:


Date & Location: Wednesday, 5 February 2014 at the Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA), Singapore Polytechnic.

For safety, students will be wearing life vests throughout the water activities but are allowed to opt out of the water activities if they are not comfortable. 
Please also identify the non-swimmers so that they will be given extra attention.
Please remind your cadets of the following:
(1)          Bring a change of clothes and shoes
(2)          Covered shoes must be worn during sea activities

Please note that the visiting school will need to arrange for all transportation to SMA and Poly Marina (i.e. School > SP > Poly Marina > School)

Tentative Progamme:

1300 hrs               Arrive at Singapore Maritime Academy (Address: Blk T1A, Singapore Polytechnic, 500 Dover Road, Singapore 139651)
Note: Enter by Gate 8 along Commonwealth Avenue West
                                Briefing & Tour of Facilities including the Integrated Simulation Centre
1420 hrs               Leave for Poly Marina (Address: 50 West Coast Ferry Road, Singapore 126980)
                               Arrive at Poly Marina & Sea activities
Refreshment
1700 hrs               End of Programme

Note that refreshments will be provided to the cadets. Food served will be halal-certified but do let us know if they need other special dietary requirements (i.e. Vegetarian, etc).

Those that are interested, please text me by tomorrow 3pm including your full names, class level and NRIC no.
